My husband and older children all have access to microwaves. The containers that my older children use (a Mr. Bento)can be used to keep food hot or cold (but not both at the same time). They usually just reheat the main dish in the microwave. My daughter uses a laptop lunch and is homeschooled so she can use the microwave at home. The Jr. high and highscool here have microwaves. It would be much harder if they did not have them.

I like the lunch stuff ideas for the kids but am wondering how do they heat the warm stuff up at school?
Also what kind of lunch containers are those? Tonight I got dh some divided rubbermaid containers that he will hopefully take to work.
